Chief Executive Officer James Gasior and Executive Vice President Tim Carney, along with the Board of Directors, are proud to announce Cortland Banks’ newest team members.

These individuals bring with them industry strength and knowledge to provide customers with customized, forward-thinking solutions.

Danielle Burrows, VP | Retail Banking Manager

With 18 years of banking experience, Danielle brings strong leadership skills to Cortland Banks.

Danielle most recently was Vice President, Regional Sales Manager for Charter One Bank and was responsible for directing fourteen retail branches. Her operational background well positions her to act as the newly appointed Vice President, Retail Banking Manager for Cortland Banks.

"I love working with customers and providing services to meet their financial needs. My favorite place to be is working with my colleagues and customers in the branches."

Active in the community, Danielle is a volunteer with the Domestic Violence and Child Advocacy Center and Abigail Ministries, doing annual fund raising with Goodwill Industries. Danielle most recently served on the Boards for Junior Achievement and Girl Scouts of the Western Reserve.

Rocky Page, VP | Retail Mortgage Lending

New to the Cortland Banks Team, Rocky is a highly skilled mortgage originator in the Mahoning Valley, and was ranked nationally in 2009 as one of the Scotsman Top 200 originators in the country.

Based locally in Canfield, Rocky comes to the Cortland team with more than 20 years of mortgage lending experience. He most recently served as the 2010-2011 Affiliate Director for the Youngstown-Columbiana Association of Realtors.

Customer oriented, Rocky is focused on creating positive experiences for his customers. “My goal is to make the entire mortgage process, whether it be a refinance or a home purchase, as fast and simple as possible.”

Rocky has been hired as Vice President of Retail Mortgage Lending and will be originating mortgage loans in Mahoning County.

Joni Everson, VP | Retail Mortgage Lending

An established mortgage originator for more than 30 years, Joni joins the Cortland team and will be covering Trumbull, Portage, Geauga and Ashtabula counties as Vice President of Retail Mortgage Lending.

A resident of Bristolville, Joni is a recipient of the Scotsman Top 200 originators in the country award (2009). Additionally, she was awarded Top Referrer for the past ten years, while with First Place Bank. She most recently was an Affiliate Director for the Warren Area Board of Realtors serving from 2011 to 2012.

Joni is very involved in the closing of her mortgage transactions and aims to provide an excellent customer experience with every loan. “I work according to our customer’s schedules. If they are free on a Sunday, then I am free on a Sunday. They deserve not only products that fit their needs but their schedules as well.”

David Kovacs, AVP | Community Banking Manager/Business Banking Officer

A four-year team member, David has recently been promoted to Assistant Vice President and will work at Cortland Banks’ Vienna branch as its Community Banking Manager and Business Banking Officer.

“I have been with Cortland Banks for four years, and from the top down, Cortland Banks has a people first approach,” David said.

Formerly a Credit Analyst with the Bank, David will service the Vienna community by drawing on his credit underwriting experience when originating loans.

An alumni of Youngstown State University and its Williamson School of Business Administration, David is also a two-time recipient of the Vivian Johnson-Evans Scholarship and a recipient of the John Malgery and Meshel Scholarships.  His memberships include the Risk Management Association, Accounting and Finance Honorary Society, Beta Alpha Psi, American Accounting Association and the Ohio Society of CPAs.

Committed to financial literacy in the Valley, David has volunteered for both the Ohio Society of CPAs’ FETCH! Program (Financial Education Teaches Children Healthy Habits), as well as the Bank’s own financial literacy programs for local schools.

“Financial literacy is vital to the recovery and economic growth of the valley,” David said.
